Tollywood director Parashuram Petla had earlier announced Akkineni’s collaboration with Naga Chaitanya, but the project did not see the light of day, and there was no further update from the makers. Later, rumors spread that Chai Akkineni had walked out of the project as he had concerns regarding the script and the director was unwilling to incorporate his requested changes. Finally, the actor has come forward to shed light on the situation and narrate what transpired between him and the director.

During an interview with Telugu channel Great Andhra, the Love Story actor was asked about collaborating with Parasuram, and he made some shocking remarks. Naga Chaitanya refused to address the topic saying “Talking about director Parasuram is a waste of time. He wasted my time, I don’t even like talking about this topic.”

For Uncover, the director was apparently going to collaborate with Naga Chaitanya before directing Mahesh Babu’s “Sarkaru Vaari Paata”, but for unexplained reasons, the project with Chaitanya was shelved.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for the release of his upcoming bilingual film ‘Custody’. The actor is actively promoting the film to reach the masses. The trailer of the film was released recently and has taken the internet by storm. The enthusiasm of the fans is at its peak after the trailer.

Custody is an action thriller film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu in his Telugu directorial debut, and produced by Srinivas Chitturi under Srinivas Silver Screen and Anji Industries. Naga Chaitanya, Arvind Swami, R. Starring Sarathkumar, Kriti Shetty, Priyamani and Sampath Raj, the film was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
