Shubman GillOn Monday, the young Gujarat Titans opener scored his maiden IPL century in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad. Gill reached the century mark in just 56 balls and also became the first hundred for the defending champions. He reached the 50-run mark in just 22 balls and then kept his cool to reach triple figures in just 56 balls despite wickets falling at the other end. Gill now has hundreds to his name in Tests, ODIs, T20s and even in the IPL. He is one of the very few players to achieve the feat. He has also crossed the 500-run mark in IPL 2023.

Gill played an inning of 101 runs in just 58 balls with the help of 13 fours and a six and added 147 runs for the second wicket. Sai Sudarshan (47 off 36 balls). In the end, SRH rode on some brilliant bowling from Bhuvneshwar to restrict GT to under 200.

Sent in to bat, GT suffered an early blow as they lost Wriddhiman Saha For a duck on the third ball of the innings, dismissed for one Abhishek Sharma on the second slip.
After a quiet start, GT collected 15 runs in the third over with Gill and Sai Sudarshan hitting Bhuvneshwar for three fine fours.
