Siddaramaiah indulging in drama, will not contest from Kolar: Yediyurappa

Political heat is rising in poll-bound Karnataka as former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa attacked senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah for the drama of announcing his candidature from Kolar. Yeddyurappa said that in his opinion, Siddaramaiah would go back to his home district of Mysore.

Yediyurappa said, “I will say one thing today itself, don’t think that I am making any prediction, Siddaramaiah will not contest from Kolar for any reason, he is doing drama and trying to go back to Mysore.”

Earlier this month, Siddaramaiah announced that he would be willing to contest the Assembly polls from Kolar if the Congress high command allows him.

Yediyurappa said the Congress leader knows that if he contests from Kolar, he will face certain defeat and hence he will go back to his home district. senior BJP The leader said the party has a strategy for both the possibilities.

“He is playing political circus and drama, according to me, he will not contest from there (Kolar) and may try to go back to Mysuru, if that happens then we will make the strategy that we need,” he said.

Asked about the possibility of Siddaramaiah contesting the assembly elections from two seats, Yediyurappa said, “I don’t know about it, it is left to his party. Let him contest from two or three seats, but go home.” Fixed.”

The leader is not keen on contesting from his current seat of Badami in Bagalkot district, and is reportedly looking for a “safer seat”.

On 9 January, Siddaramaiah announced his intention to contest from Kolar, if approved by the Congress high command.
