Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) start-up Simple Energy has unveiled an upgraded motor for its flagship electric scooter, the Simple One. According to the company, the new motor further enhances the performance of the scooter by offering better efficiency and thermal management. The Simple One electric scooter will be delivered to the customers from June 2022. According to the company, the upgraded motor has been manufactured in-house, and can produce 72 Nm of torque, and will allow the scooter to house a bigger battery pack of 4.8 kWh, which will extend over 200 km on a single charge.
