Simple Energy has shared some new details on its Battery Management System (BMS). The company has claimed that its technology has allowed the company to achieve 95 percent efficiency from the Simple One electric scooter’s electric powertrain, allowing it to achieve a real world range of over 200km. Speaking about the company’s BMS system, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, said, “Developing the BMS from the beginning was one of the best decisions we made, giving us an unparalleled degree of vertical integration on One Enabled to achieve – which allowed us to eq. out of range greater range and performance than any other EV on the market. This move will also make it easier for Simple to develop future products.”

The company says its 10kW system is “incredibly compact” which not only leaves room for application in other vehicles but also for larger battery packs. The company also claims that its system is accurate enough to detect “changes as minimal as 0.6mV (milli volts), allowing for greater accuracy in charge and range estimates.”

The system also includes the company’s patented charging protocol, which is said to allow faster charging without messing up the battery pack with system software, allowing for better thermal efficiency and longer sustained performance. Meets.

Simple Energy launched the One electric scooter in August last year, though the company had announced earlier this year that deliveries would start from June. During the past months, the company revealed an upgraded motor for its electric scooter, which allows for better range and offered a second variant with an additional battery and 300km-plus range.

The two variants of the Simple One are currently priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard model and Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom) for the variant with the extra battery.
