Sixteen accused in SDPI leader’s murder identified, says Kerala Police

The Kerala Police on Saturday arrested seven more people in connection with the murder of KS Shan.

At least sixteen accused have been confirmed in connection with the murder of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) state secretary KS Shan, Alappuzha Superintendent of Police (SP) G Jayadeva said on Monday.

SP Jayadeva said, “So far sixteen accused have been confirmed in the case but the number may increase further. There are more people behind the conspiracy.”

SP Jayadeva further said, “We need to look into the conspiracy and find out other involvement as well. We can confirm it only with more evidence and statements.”

“In the preliminary investigation, seven people have been arrested but this is a big achievement, it will require further investigation,” he said.

The Kerala Police on Saturday arrested seven more people in connection with the murder of KS Shan. A total of 10 accused have been arrested so far in the murder of the SDPI leader.

According to police, Shaan was on a two-wheeler when he was attacked by a gang traveling in a car on Saturday night. SDPI has alleged that RSS workers are behind this attack.

Earlier on November 15, RSS worker S Sanjeet was allegedly killed by activists of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of the PFI.
