Snapchat celebrates Halloween with an AR try-on costume lens: Here’s how to use it

instant messaging platform Snapchat Will allow users to digitally wear special Halloween costumes that are heavily inspired by current popular shows and movies that incorporate pop culture references to help shape it.

The Snapchat app will give users the option to buy these costumes. characters and costumes inspired by popular witch-based movies and TV shows like Harry Potter, squid gameStranger Things, Hocus Pocus, Power Rangers, Transformers and more titles are also included.

Reportedly, Snapchat conducted a survey with a consulting firm called Ipsos. In the survey, it was reported that the most common reason individuals use augmented reality for shopping. In addition, there are a growing number of merchants and businesses that are leading the way in introducing augmented reality technologies into their platforms that will help allow users to try on the products they are selling.

How to Use This Snapchat AR Lens

To start using the app, users just need to select the full-body features to purchase a Halloween costume on Snapchat after it’s shot. AR lens, Snapchat’s newly developed computer vision technology will try to superimpose the product’s photo in Shot onto the user’s body and they can shoot a snap and share it with friends.
