Southern Railway has got Efficiency Shield for operation of Jolarpet Railway Station under Chennai Division.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav presented the award to Southern Railway, represented by General Manager BG Mallya and Chennai Divisional Railway Manager Ganesh ranked 67th. th Railway week celebrations in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
A press release said, “Southern Railway, apart from securing the Efficiency Shield, has honored six railway officials by conferring the award, for exemplary work done in operation, maintenance and improvement of safety and security of trains. Including the award. to Mahendra Molumuri.”
In the Railway Week celebrations, 21 shields and awards were distributed to 156 Railway Officers of various Zonal Railways across the country.
Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer VK Tripathi also participated in the event.
