Vizianagaram Collector A. Suryakumari said on Tuesday that a new and special menu would be implemented in all Anganwadi centers from July 1 to ensure nutritious food for the children.
In a press release, he said that under the YSR Sampoorna Poshan Yojana, pregnant women and children would be served various curries with rice, egg, all ingredients.
He directed Integrated Child Development Services Project Director Shanta Kumari to oversee its implementation in all 2,499 Anganwadi centres. Ms. Suryakumari said that around 11,811 pregnant women and 3,955 children in the age group of 3 to 6 years would get the benefit of the scheme.
