Sandeep Singh’s directorial debut film whiteThe poster was unveiled during the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The poster was released on 21st May at Hotel Le Majestic in Cannes by the legendary music maestro and Academy Award winner – Mr. AR Rahman.
Leading actors Abhay Verma and Meera Chopra along with writer-director Sandeep Singh, producer Vinod Bhanushali and co-producers Vishal Gurnani and Juhi Parekh Mehta were present for the poster launch. A film about the truth about society that is rarely seen but exists.
At the launch, Mr. AR Rahman shared, “I saw the teaser and it is very interesting, colorful and very important. I wish the entire team all the best, Chamke.”
Expressing his excitement, Sandeep Singh shared, “It is an honor that the world renowned composer, AR Rahman has blessed us by launching the first look of my directorial debut during the 75th Film Festival of India at Cannes. It’s like a dream come true.”
Lead actor Abhay Varma shared, “Every actor’s ambition is to have a first film that goes to Cannes, and I feel blessed and privileged to be living it.” My director Sandeep Singh’s trust and faith in me made this journey a truly memorable one. I am still quipped over the fact that I was featured in the poster launched by our country’s pride AR Rahman.”
Meanwhile, lead actress Meera Chopra said, “Safeed is a special film for me. It is all because of Sandeep Singh who chose this story as his directorial. It is heartening that such an important film has its poster. It is making the right noise thanks to its launch at Cannes, that too by AR Rahman.
Producer Vinod Bhanushali concluded, “This year India marks the 75th year of the ‘Country of Honor’ at Cannes and it is a proud and wonderful moment for all of us to make it to the festival. It is humbling that AR Rahman unveiled the film’s poster. The world today.”
