Sporadic rain in Delhi; Widespread rain likely in these states

A day after rains lashed parts of the national capital on Sunday, Delhi on Monday was humid on Monday and the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average. The Meteorological Department has predicted a cloudy sky with the possibility of light rain or drizzle. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the relative humidity was recorded at 82% at 8.30 am, with the maximum temperature expected to be 37 degrees Celsius.

IMD notified that under its influence, isolated heavy rainfall is likely to occur over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from 17th to 21st July; Vidarbha on 19 July; Coastal Karnataka on 18 and 19 July; South Interior Karnataka on 18 July; North Interior Karnataka on 17 July; Konkan and Goa on 17 and 18 July; Kerala and Mahe from 17th to 20th July.

Apart from this, similar conditions are likely to prevail over Gujarat for three days while isolated rains are likely over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next five days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam will also see isolated rainfall on July 17. During the next three days, isolated to moderate rain with isolated thunderstorms or lightning may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. From 18th to 21st July the region will see widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall. Very heavy rain will occur in Himachal Pradesh on July 20 and in Uttarakhand from July 19 to 21.
