Stocks to watch: Aurum, Vedanta, Maruti Suzuki

Auram: Aurum Proptech Ltd, formerly known as Majesco Ltd, on Sunday said it will acquire 49% stake in Integro Asset Management Pvt Ltd. for ltd 25 crore, to enable the convergence of asset technology and fintech.

Renewable Stock: India is proposing changes to its laws to make it mandatory for industrial units to use a minimum share of green energy in total electricity consumption as the country moves away from fossil fuels and fights climate change.

Adani Group: Adani Group is buying stake in online travel aggregator Cleartrip Pvt. Ltd., as domestic travel restrictions in India were eased due to the pandemic-led movement. Adani said in an exchange filing that Adani Enterprises Ltd., the group’s flagship, has agreed to acquire a “significant minority stake” in Cleartrip.

Vedanta: Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India has warned billionaire Anil Agarwal’s Vedanta Ltd and Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) for non-compliance of certain disclosure norms, saying it will take action if such action is repeated in future.

IDFC First Bank: IDFC First Bank on Saturday reported a rise of 49.6% in its standalone net profit 151.7 crore on a year-on-year basis for the quarter ended September 30. The lender had posted a net profit of 101.4 crore in the year-ago period.

IOC: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) reports marginal increase in net profit 6,360.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company had recorded a net profit of 6,227.31 crore, showed a regulatory filing. The state-run refiner posted an unexpected profit as margin expansion and stockpile profits on fuel offset a jump in costs.

Indian Bank: State-run lender Indian Bank announced that it has given more 266 crore fraud to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). A regulatory filing said the bank has reported three non-performing accounts as fraudulent.

NTPC: As part of the Centre’s plan to curb pollution caused by stubble burning, state-run NTPC Ltd plans to procure 2.5 million tonnes of biomass pellets as fuel for generating electricity in its projects. These pellets will be mixed with coal as fuel to generate electricity.

Maruti Suzuki: Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Saturday said it expects production at two of its plants in Haryana and the parent Suzuki’s Gujarat plant in November to be adversely affected due to short supply of electronic components due to semiconductor shortage.

Zydus/Cadilla: Zydus Cadila has agreed to reduce the price of its covid-19 vaccine According to people familiar with the matter, a dose of Rs 265 after constant talks by the government but a final deal is yet to be done. Zydus Cadila’s ZyCov-D is the first vaccine approved by India’s drug regulator for immunization of people 12 years of age and above.
