Stop Judging Kids By Marks, ‘We Put More Emphasis On Exams In India,’ Says Shashi Tharoor As Boards Nearby

Many state boards have released the board exam 2023 date sheet and CBSE And as CISCE is ready to declare the tentative timetable by this month, students and their parents may be worried. Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor has asked everyone to stop judging their children only on the basis of exam marks. “We put more emphasis on exams in India,” he said.

Sharing a note on social media platform, Twitter, Tharoor said that not taking away the dignity and confidence of a child as he was unable to score high marks in the examination is not the right way to deal with children. Among the students appearing for the exam is an artist who doesn’t need to understand maths, an entrepreneur who doesn’t care about history or English literature, a musician whose chemistry scores don’t matter.

“If your child gets top marks, that’s great! But if he doesn’t… please don’t take away his confidence or dignity from him. Tell him it’s just a test. are cut for things. Tell them whether you love them or not and will not judge them,” the note read.
