Ms Sundararajan asked special teams to conduct inspections to ensure that people follow safety protocols in crowded places. They should also ensure that each venue hosts only the permitted number of participants keeping in mind the need to maintain social distancing. Teams will ensure that everyone has their masks on at all times and provide hand sanitizers and thermal scanners at entry points to venues.

The Lt Governor asked the health department to conduct random tests at all such places and not allow symptomatic persons to participate in the function. He said that he should be isolated from the gathering and provided immediate medical aid.
