Student hoists Indian flag at his graduation in New York, Internet reacts

Brigadier Sohi was amazed at his son’s unflinching patriotism.

All the students studying in foreign land miss their motherland once in a while. One often misses the comfort and warmth of home, the familiar streets, the warm smiles and the comfort of knowing nothing can go wrong. While living in a foreign country, one proudly carries one’s identity with one’s country and this was exemplified by a student who wore the Indian national flag along with his robe at his graduation ceremony in New York.

Brigadier Hardeep Singh Sohi shared pictures of his son’s graduation ceremony at New York University on Twitter. In the pictures, her son was dressed in a traditional graduation gown and cap, with the Indian national flag proudly displayed on his stole. He is all smiles as he poses for both the pictures. Brigadier Sohi was amazed at his son’s unflinching patriotism. He captioned the post, “My son proudly hoisting the national flag during his graduation ceremony.”

Since being shared, the post has garnered over 1.3 lakh views and a thousand likes.
