The sub-inspector of the survey, Kothagudem, D Venkata Rao, and two other employees – Appa Rao and Azharuddin – have been suspended following allegations of corruption and immoral activities.
Collector D Anudeep issued orders to this effect on Wednesday night. The order said that a special officer would be appointed to probe the allegations against him.
The action comes hours after a video clip of a liquor party purportedly hosted by a realtor for a group of employees at a lodge in Coal City went viral on social media. The realtor allegedly arranged for a party seeking survey reports in his favor to start a real estate venture in a “disputed land” at Chunchupally near Kothagudem.
However, the officials concerned were not available for their comments.
