Success Story: Uttar Pradesh farmer’s son gets Rs 15 lakh package

Farmer’s son Shivam Singh has secured a job as a growth hacker in Gurugram’s Norish Framework Pvt Ltd with a package of Rs 15 lakh per annum. In the same year, after doing B.Tech in Computer Science from Lucknow University, he got a job offer through campus placement. Shivam, a native of Uttar Pradesh, attributes his success to his hard work. His father Uday Pratap Singh is a farmer while his mother Meena Singh is a homemaker.

Shivam, always a promising student, has been offered a stock option of Rs 38 lakh to Rs 6.5 crore under the ESOP scheme with a package of Rs 15 lakh by the company. An ESOP or Employee Stock Ownership Plan gives the employees of a company the right to own shares of the company for which they are working.

Dr Himanshu Pandey, placement in-charge of the Faculty of Engineering in Lucknow University, said that Shivam has been a promising student since the beginning. “He is very happy to have this job,” he said. Shivam has also received sponsorship of $75,000 (technical credit) for his startup ‘Oregon’ during his BTech third year.

Lucknow University got A++ from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) last month. After which many big multinational companies of the country are offering jobs to university students. Lucknow University Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Rai has also congratulated Shivam for this success.

Earlier, Rajasundari Thirumugam, who was unable to Got a degree due to lack of money, got a job in TVS. Rajsundari, a resident of Kamalandapuram village in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, is the daughter of a farmer. After completing 10th standard from government school, his father was reluctant to enroll him for higher education. But he didn’t give up. He took vocational training in mechanical engineering at Nachimuthu Vocational Training Institute in Pollachi, which helped him land a well-paying job.
