Sudarshan Patnaik creates sand art of Goddess Kali using 4,045 diyas on Diwali

On the occasion of Diwali, Odisha’s sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has once again mesmerized us with his art. The internationally acclaimed sand artist unveiled a beautiful sand sculpture of Goddess Kali installed at Puri beach in Odisha. The special feature of sand art was that it was made using 4,045 earthen lamps. “My sand art of Goddess Maa Kali with installation of 4045 diyas at Puri beach in Odisha,” Patnaik wrote in a Twitter post. The Padma Shri awardee is a renowned artist known for his uniquely recognizable artworks.

Meanwhile, earlier, Patnaik also marked the Prime Minister’s birthday by making a five-feet sand sculpture at Puri beach in Odisha. Interestingly, the renowned sand artist used 1,212 clay tea cups to create the magnificent painting. Along with Murthy, Patnaik wrote, ‘Happy Birthday Modi ji’.
