Sun Pharma to set up new manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi Drug major Sun Pharmaceutical Industries on Tuesday said it is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.

Mumbai-based drugmaker founder Dilip Shanghvi and his team met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the progress of the pharmaceutical sector and setting up of end-to-end manufacturing facilities in the state. Statement.

“I am happy with the Chief Minister’s understanding of the opportunities and challenges the state is facing,” Shangvi said. He said that integrated development of the state is becoming evident under the Chief Minister’s policy.

Sun Pharma is the world’s fourth largest specialty generic drug company with global revenues of over US$4.5 billion.

Backed by over 40 manufacturing facilities, the company provides medicines to over 100 countries across the globe.

The statement said that the Chief Minister informed the Sun Pharma team about the steps being taken by the government for industrial progress and invited them to take advantage of this opportunity and invest in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the opening of the plant in the state would generate more employment opportunities and would contribute to the development of the industrial sector in the state.
