After a sudden exit from the Congress, former PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar seems to be getting ready for a new innings by jumping ship for the BJP in Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
Sources close to Jakhar said that he has been in Delhi for the past few days and is holding discussions with top officials.
Jakhar was not only unhappy with the treatment meted out to him by the Congress high command, but was also not happy with the manner in which show cause notices were issued to him for alleged anti-party activities.
Sources close to Jakhar said he is likely to be given some responsibility in Punjab and will play a key role in ensuring that the BJP expands its footprint in Punjab ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
