Chocolate Protein Yogurt
Component:
Plain Greek yogurt – 170 g Chocolate Protein powder – 1 tsp Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 tsp Maple syrup or honey – 1-2 tsp Cinnamon powder – A pinch Salt – A pinch (to enhance the chocolate flavor) Vanilla extract – to taste
Curd Topping:
Peanut butter – ½ Tbsp Peanut butter powder – ½ Tbsp Granola – ¼ cup Banana slice – 1 nut Black berries, raspberries, strawberries – ¼ cup (fresh or frozen)
Method:
Put curd in a bowl. Add 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract.
Use a spoon to mix the ingredients. Aggressively mix the ingredients with your spoon until all the powder is incorporated into the curd and the curd mixture has a fluffy and creamy texture. About 30 – 40 seconds.
Curd is ready to eat. Top the yogurt with your favorite toppings: banana slices, frozen or fresh berries, peanut butter, granola, shredded coconut, etc.
Saffron Shrikhand Golgappe
Ingredients for Shrikhand:
Greek Yogurt / Hang Yogurt – 900 grams
Sugar – 1 ½ cup Milk – 2 tbsp
Saffron – 2 big pinch
Green cardamom – 10 pods
Chopped almonds, pistachios and cashews – for garnishing
Ingredients for Puri:
Rice flour – ¼ cup
Whole wheat flour – ¼ cup
Maida – ¼ cup Water – 5 tbsp
Salt – a pinch Oil for frying
Method to make Shrikhand:
Take a muslin cloth/handkerchief and spread it in a bowl. Pour Greek yogurt over cloth. Bring the edges of the cloth together and tie it with a string. Hang the cloth and place a bowl under it to drain the excess whey overnight.
Put saffron in the milk and keep it aside.
Take out the curd in a deep bowl. Add sugar, cardamom powder as well as saffron milk and whisk well till the sugar dissolves and the curd becomes smooth and creamy.
Garnish with almonds or any other nuts of your choice. Chill for one hour before serving.
Method for making Puri:
Mix rice flour, wheat flour, maida and salt. Add water a little at a time and mix. Knead gently to make a semi-stiff dough. Divide the dough into equal parts.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface with a rolling pin into a thin circle, with the help of a cutter cut circles in the dough. Remove the excess flour and add it to the unused dough.
Put 3 to 4 pooris in the hot oil and put them in the hot oil and fry till they become golden from both the sides. Take out on absorbent paper. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Assembling:
Tap the top of the puri lightly with the tip of a spoon or forefinger to make a small hole.
Spoon some Shrikhand inside. Pop in your mouth right away.
Watermelon Pizza
Component
Seedless Watermelon Slice – 1
Cream Cheese Glaze Softened Cream Cheese – 150 grams
Greek yogurt – ½ cup
Powdered sugar – ¼ cup
Freshly squeezed orange juice – 2 tbsp
topping fruit
Dragon fruit – 10 grams
Chopped Plum – 10 grams
Kiwi – 10 grams
Slice cherry – 10 grams
Blueberries – 10 g Mint leaves – 5 g
Method
In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese until nice and smooth. Add Greek yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice and beat until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix until completely smooth.
Slice the watermelon about 2 inches thick and cut them into wedges. Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of Cream Cheese Glaze on each slice, being careful not to let it drip down the sides. Add an assortment of chopped fruits on top of the frosting.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves. serve immediately.
