Marking the beginning of the spring season, Holi is the festival of colours, which signifies happiness and the victory of good over evil.
Even though Holi is primarily a Hindu festival, it is also celebrated by people of other religions. It marks the arrival of spring harvest season in the country.
People celebrate the festival by sprinkling sweets, thandai and colored powder, water and balloons on each other.
