Symphony launches new digital campaign on Tree Conservation Air Coolers

New Delhi Symphony Limited has launched a digital campaign to create awareness on the need to protect and conserve our planet.

With technology making our lives simpler and more convenient, it has proven to be a threat to our environment. It said our oceans are shrinking, global temperatures are rising, wildlife is being affected and the Earth’s surface is drying up. With this idea, the brand has come up with a digital campaign to drive change and awareness among the customers with an engaging message. The firm said it creates a synergy between the use of air coolers and the conservation of trees.

Anuj Arora, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Symphony Limited said, “With this campaign, we aim to educate consumers on how to be mindful of the environmental side effects of their choices and how to achieve positive results by adopting sustainable methods of cooling. can be. Change. Additionally, our recent studies and research findings have shown that air coolers as a category are more eco-friendly and friendly. Now is the time to bring about change and protect our planet.”

During the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) summit held last year, most countries committed to reducing emissions to zero and reaching carbon neutrality by 2060. Symphony has also taken a step to contribute in this direction. He partnered with Anant Solutions, an environmental and sustainability consulting company, for a study to understand GHG emissions occurring at the organizational level for the production and sale of air coolers. While achieving carbon neutrality is a long-term goal, Symphony has been making a conscious effort in the past. The brand has planted trees in its premises, adopted 11,000 square meters of barren land and developed a forest park with over 25,000 saplings. This has helped reduce emissions by 136.35 tCO2/yr! The brand also assessed the carbon footprint of its air coolers. According to the findings of that study:

Air coolers have significantly lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions than air conditioners. For one unit of the brand’s residential air cooler, the total carbon dioxide saving against the air conditioner is 14.945 tonnes; It is equivalent to uprooting 42 trees.

According to Statista, the total sales of air conditioners in the last five years (2018 to 2022) is approx. 3.33 crores. If consumers had bought so many coolers instead of air conditioners, we could have saved about 140 crore trees.
