Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has fun advice Virat Kohli To retire from the T20I format after bettering Pakistan after his sensational 82-run knock. According to former Pakistan player Shoaib, Virat should now focus on other formats instead of T20Is as he spoke on his YouTube channel. Shoaib’s advice however seems to be more careful for the opposition than for India as the former India captain is enjoying his best run since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Akhtar said, “He is back with a bang. I want him to retire from T20I because I don’t want him to put all his energy into T20I cricket. With the same commitment as he is today, he Can score three centuries in ODIs.” Youtube channel.

Akhtar also spoke on the team’s performance and praised Pakistan’s side despite failing to win the competition. He was also quick to highlight missed opportunities, which would result in Pakistan ending up as second best.

“Pakistan have done very well. Don’t be discouraged, you all played really well. India did really well… they won one of the best matches in history.

“It was a perfect World Cup match. It had everything – dropped catch, run out, no ball, contention, stumping.

Akhtar said, “The World Cup has just started, the World Cup will start only when India-Pakistan play and both the teams will face each other again. Pakistan will see India again in this World Cup.”

The Indian team won a famous contest on Sunday which went to the last ball and went on to win by four wickets. The Indian team will now take on the Netherlands at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday. Meanwhile, Virat should not heed Akhtar’s advice and will continue to work his way up and impress the team.
