David Warner completed a remarkable change in form by winning the player of the tournament at the end of the T20 World Cup on Sunday and his wife Candice took a dig at his critics after the final against New Zealand.

Warner scored 195 runs in eight matches played in the 2021 season of IPL. This was the first time in seven years that Warner had scored less than 500 runs in an edition of the T20 league. However, the 35-year-old made a comeback in the subsequent T20 World Cup, scoring 289 runs in seven innings.
He was Australia’s highest scorer and the second highest scorer overall in the tournament, behind illustrious Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who scored 303 runs in six innings. Warner also ended the tournament with 32 fours, the most by any player with 28 fours by second-placed Babar.
