Speaker Appavu, while presenting the agriculture budget in the state assembly, had said that he would provide one lakh palm seeds to the government.
Assembly Speaker M. Appavu handed over palm seeds to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin at the Secretariat in Chennai on Friday in line with his statement in the House.
During the presentation of the Agriculture Budget in the state assembly, Mr. Appavu had said that he would provide one lakh palm seeds to the government.
Agriculture Minister MR K Panneerselvam and Agriculture Secretary C Samayamurthy were also present on the occasion. The state government is planning to plant more than 76 lakh palm saplings in 30 districts.
