Several state board results for Class 10 and 12 have been released in the past month or so, and now it’s time Tamil Nadu Board The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination are about to be declared. The results of class 12 board exams in Tamil Nadu will be made public by the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Examinations (TNDGE) on May 8.

According to an official announcement on the TNDGE website, Tamil Nadu’s School Education Minister, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, will host a press conference at the Anna Centenary Library Conclave to release the HSC results. The results of around 8.8 lakh students who took the class 12th or HSC board exams from March 13 to April 3 will be published tomorrow at 9:30 am on the official websites of the board, dge.tn.gov.in and other websites. Tamil Nadu Board Class 12th Results are easily available through the National Informatics Center (NIC) apart from the official website.

Tamil Nadu HSC Result 2023: Passing Criteria

To pass the TN Board HSC exam in 2023, students need to score at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. Students scoring 90 per cent or more in HSC exam will get A1 grade, while those scoring 81-90 per cent will get A2 grade. Those who get D grade will have a score between 35 to 40 percent. Students securing less than 35 per cent marks will get E grade and will be considered failed.

Students appearing for compartment exams need to score at least 35 marks in each paper to pass. Students have to clear both the parts of the exam for the subjects which have both theory and practical exams. Students who have obtained unsatisfactory grades in one or more academic subjects can apply for compartmental examination.

Due to clash with National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG 2023) examination, The board has postponed the release of the 12th result. May 5 to May 8. In light of the possibility that the HSC Public Exam Result 2023 will have an impact on the performance of students in the NEET UG exam, the state teachers’ associations requested the Education Minister to delay the results.
