A man in Tamil Nadu allegedly killed his wife and 4 children and then committed suicide (Representational)
Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu:
A man allegedly killed his wife and four children including two daughters when they were teenagers and committed suicide in Chengam taluk of Tiruvannamalai district in Tamil Nadu.
Another daughter of about 9 years has been admitted to the government hospital in the area with cut injuries.
The man was later identified as 45-year-old Palanisamy, an agricultural laborer from Oranthavadi village near Chengam in the district.
While the exact cause of the incident is not known, the police said that the incident came to light after the neighbors got suspicious and informed them today.
Police found Palanisamy hanging from the ceiling, while his 37-year-old wife, 3 daughters and a son were found dead. Another nine-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital, a senior police officer said.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
