As per the latest forecast released at 7 am today, moderate to light rain and thundershowers were predicted across Tamil Nadu. Various schools and colleges in several districts have declared holidays due to weather.
The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC), Chennai issued a red alert for Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Ranipet districts on November 10, 2022, following an area of low pressure over southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast. Additional Director General (Meteorology) S. Balachandran said it is very likely to move west-northwestwards and move into Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala during Saturday and Sunday.
