Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Sunday said on Twitter that NEET is a big issue in the country and his government will bring a bill to give exemption to the state.

“Another death on the altar of NEET. Let education be a qualification and education alone destroy qualification which is injustice. Tomorrow we will bring Permanent Exemption Bill for NEET. Let us treat NEET as an issue of Indian subcontinent. Let’s take it,” Stalin tweeted.

Stalin’s remarks came hours after a 19-year-old medical candidate was found dead at his home in Salem, hours before the NEET exam.

The Chief Minister alleged that the Center does not understand the immense hardships caused to the students by NEET and its “carelessness” and “instrument” is responsible for the suicides of the students. Condoling the death of the candidate, Stalin said, “Our legal struggle against NEET begins now after taking over the reins of the government.”

Moreover, “multiple instances of cheating including irregularities in the conduct of NEET, leakage of question paper, impersonation and suicide of students” have not prompted the Center to change heart, further reinforcing the need for education in the state list. has gone. Earlier this week, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asked the Center to “require students” after the Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea seeking appropriate directions and orders to the authorities concerned to rescheduling or postponing NEET UG-21. for being blind to distress”.

The Congress MP tweeted, “The Government of India (Govt. of India) is blind to the distress of the students. Postpone the #NEET exam. Give them a fair chance.”

NEET is an all India level entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses.
