Tata New expands value proposition for Indian consumers, says group president

Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran on Thursday said that the whole purpose of coming up with super app Tata New was to be a ‘trusted’ partner for Indian consumers and to meet their ‘every need’ under a common platform.

“At Tata Digital, we aim to be a trusted partner for a better life for the Indian consumer. Currently, there is no solution that has been developed keeping the Indian consumer in mind.”

Last week, Tata Digital unveiled the app, which received an “overwhelming response from consumers”, the company said.

So far, over 22 lakh consumers have registered to buy goods and services from Tata group entities whose apps are embedded in the Super app, company officials said.

He added that SuperApp has brought “great synergy” to the group and “massively expanded” the value proposition for Indian consumers.

With the breadth of possibilities in product commerce, service commerce and financial services, he said, “We are confident that we will shape Tata New as a one-stop place to meet the demand of Indian consumers.”

Stating that the main play for Tata New came from the idea of ​​”brigital”, he said that soon a range of categories and services would be introduced for customers, including technological innovations such as artificial intelligence-powered personal assistants.

Emphasizing that Tata New has brought together all the brands in the group while creating an attractive value for the customers, he said that the Tata group has assembled the best teams to build super apps that are ‘in front of the consumers’. To solve the problems that arise.
