Tata Tiago EV bookings start tomorrow: Details explained – Times of India

Tata Motors has recently launched the Tiago EV, the cheapest electric car in the Indian market, at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will start booking Tata Tiago EV from tomorrow i.e. 10 October 2022.
Interested customers can book the Tiago EV for an initial amount of Rs 21,000. The firm has reserved 2,000 units of the Tata Tiago EV for its existing EV customers. This is the starting price that will be applicable for the initial batch of 10,000 units. The test drive will start from December 2022.
Tata is offering the new Tiago EV in seven variants that are available with different charging options and battery packs.

The Tata Tiago EV packs a 19.2 kWh or 24 kWh battery, with both units supporting fast charging. The 19.2 kWh battery produces a maximum power of 60 bhp and peak torque of 110 Nm, offering a claimed range of 250 km per charge. The 24 kWh battery produces 74 bhp power and 114 Nm torque which offers a range of 315 km. These batteries can be charged to 10-80% in 57 minutes using a DC fast charger and 0-100% in 3 hours 36 minutes using a 7.2kW AC charger.
Some of the key features of the Tata Tiago EV include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, electronically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather seats and more.
Receiving a 4-star safety rating by the global NCAP, the Tata Tiago EV features dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors and seat belt reminder. The Tata Tiago EV will compete with the Tata Tigor EV which is in a different segment in the Indian market.
