Tata Tigor EV launched in Nepal

The Tata all-electric Tigor EV is the second battery electric car from Tata to be exported to Nepal after the Nexon EV.

Tata has launched the Tigor EV in Nepal with prices ranging from NPR 29.99 Lakh to NPR 32.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). Converted to Indian Rupees, this places the Tigor EV in the range of Rs 18.76 lakh to Rs 20.64 lakh. Compared primarily with the Tigor EV in India, the price starts at Rs 12.24 Lakh and tops out at Rs 13.39 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Tigor EV is Tata’s second all-electric car to go on sale in the Nepalese market after the launch of the Nexon EV in mid-2021.

The battery pack and electric motor come with a warranty of 8 years and 1,60,000 kms.

Commenting on the occasion, Mayank Baldi, Head, PVIB, Tata Motors said, “The Nepal market has been a strong proponent of EVs, which has really driven us to broaden our offerings here. We are excited to launch the Tigor EV today, which is powered by the capable Ziptron technology.

Like the car for the Indian market, the Tigor EV for Nepal is powered by an electric motor drawing power from a 26kWh IP 67-rated battery pack. The motor churns out 74 bhp and 170 Nm of torque in which Tata claims an ARAI certified range of 306 km. As in the Indian market, the Tigor EV in Nepal is available in three variants – XE, XM and XZ+, with the fully loaded model available with an optional dual-tone finish.
