Tathagata creates fresh controversy: ‘Hate Vijayvargiya’ – World Latest News Headlines

senior BJP Leader and former Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy sparked a fresh controversy on Sunday when he said he “hated” the party’s West Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Speaking to reporters outside the state BJP headquarters, Roy said, “I hate them and the hatred is still there. As far as I know he is not coming back to West Bengal. He is still in the post (of the Bengal in-charge of the BJP), but as far as I know he will not be there.

Responding to Roy’s comments, state BJP president Sukanta Majumdar said, “I have nothing to say on this. Roy, as a former state president of the BJP, had come to the party office to make a courtesy call on me. I don’t want to say anything about what he said outside.

On 26 October, Roy tweeted a photo collage of a dog and Vijayvargiya, titled “Vodafone again in West Bengal”. Roy posted this in response to a tweet by a user who said that despite the electoral defeat, Vijayvargiya is still in charge of the Bengal BJP.

The user tweeted, ‘So far no one has mentioned Kailash Vijayvargiya, the leader of the pack. Perhaps it is his close ties with top leaders that are saving him. The interesting thing is that he is still in charge of BJP Bengal…”
