Team India’s new cricket jersey out, fans not completely impressed – where is Virat Kohli?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the new jersey of Team India for the T20Is on Sunday, 18 September. BCCI wrote on its official Twitter handle, “For every cricket fan, this is for you. Introducing the new T20 jersey – One Blue Jersey by @mpl_sport. #HarFanKiJersey #TeamIndia #MPLSports #CricketFandom”

In the picture, Renuka Singh Thakur, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Suryakumar Yadav and Shafali Verma can be seen posing.

The Indian women’s team is currently participating in Amy Jones’s three-match ODI series against England. The men’s team, captained by Rohit Sharma, is set to lock horns in a T20I series with Aaron Finch’s Australia, which is set to begin on Tuesday, September 20.

The men’s team is also set to play in the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup to be played in Australia in October-November later this year.

Meanwhile, fans gave their reactions to India’s new T20I jersey. A fan said that if the national jersey does not have the tricolor, then ‘India’ should be removed from it. He said, ‘If you are not putting the tricolor on the jersey, then don’t write India on it. Just write the worst feeling of Byju’s BCCI,” wrote the fan.

Another fan said that the ‘unfortunate’ dark blue color should have been removed. The fan wrote, “Decent. Although the unfortunate dark blue color could have been avoided all together.”

Some other fans didn’t care much about the jersey and believed that the results mattered more.
