Last month, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son and brother of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav had courted controversy for prefixing the word ‘Yadav’ to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s name.

State Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister while addressing a public meeting at Karghar village in Rohtas district on Saturday said, ‘Nitish Kumar ‘Yadav’ has talked about maximum recruitment in all departments.’

Seeing a slip of tongue, Tej Pratap said, “We are all one. All are descendants of Lord Shri Krishna. Yadav-Madhav-Raghu-Yadu are all descendants of Lord Rama and Krishna. History tells us that we are all one.” This is the reason why ‘Yadav’ is prefixed to Nitish Kumar’s name.

Significantly, during a program on Friday, RJD leader Bhai Virendra had named Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as ‘Yadav’.

His party colleague Tej Pratap Yadav further fueled the speculation by adding ‘Yadav’, the surname of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile, according to a new report ‘Gross Domestic Climate Risk’, Bihar features in the list of 9 Indian states which are among the top 50 regions in the world at risk of damage to the built environment due to climate change hazards.

The nine Indian states include Bihar (22nd), Uttar Pradesh (25), Assam (28), Rajasthan (32), Tamil Nadu (36), Maharashtra (38), Gujarat (48), Punjab (50), and Kerala . (52).
