Telangana Congress workers managed to reach Eraveli

Congress workers were taken by surprise when some people came on bicycles and some others for walking in the fields after heavy police force was deployed.

Congress workers were successful in giving Monday slip for police Chief Minister K.K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s farm house.

The administration deployed heavy police force and tight security arrangements were made in and around the village. All the main roads and by-ways were taken under their control and the police searched every house in the vicinity to find out if any party worker was hiding in them. Determined to reach the venue, the Congress workers, however, were taken by surprise by reaching the village in small groups and with the available means of transport.

Some came by bicycle and some were roaming in the fields and under the leadership of District Congress Committee President T. Narasa Reddy, more than 50 workers were arrested. Later they were shifted to different police stations. The police had to struggle a lot in dealing with the Congress workers who entered the village by breaking the police cordon.

Tension was evident in the region ever since Congress announced its resolution to conduct ‘Rachband’Face-to-face interaction with people in the village where the Chief Minister’s farmhouse was. TPCC President A. Security was tightened after Revanth Reddy announced that he would personally lead the Congress delegation.

Meanwhile, V. Pratap Reddy, chairman of the Forest Development Corporation, visited the village and warned that the Congress’ composed Will not be allowed to enter the village. On Sunday, some TRS leaders assaulted Congress workers.

“Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao is asking farmers not to cultivate paddy as the Center has clarified that it will not buy paddy in summer. But the chief minister is cultivating paddy in about 150 acres in the farm house. How does he do it? Can you justify?” Asked Mr. Narasa Reddy before being arrested by the police.
