Hyderabad: Telangana On Tuesday, 338 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death were recorded, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 5,864. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,58,054 and the death toll is 3,873.

A total of 364 patients were declared healthy on Tuesday, taking the total number of recovered patients to 6,48,317. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate is now 98.48 per cent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.9 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.1% have been symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 74,207 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing of 2.46 crore samples and has reached to 6.61 lakh sample tests per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Tuesday reported 84 cases, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 17 cases, Ranga Reddy 21 and Sanga Reddy 3 cases. Outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar reported the maximum number of cases with 30 new cases.
