“We have made a great effort to create the health profile of Telangana. On an experimental basis we have taken Sirisila constituency and Mulugu constituency and made a 100 per cent health profile. The details like blood group and other parameters of each person were computerized,” Rao said.
He also said that once the project is completed at the state level, access to the health profile of any citizen will be just a click away.
According to him, the number of MBBS seats in the state has increased from 2,800 in 2014 to 6,800.
At the time of formation of the state in 2014, there were only five government medical colleges in the state.
This number has now increased to 17.
“Though the Center has not allotted any medical college to the state, we are aiming to set up medical colleges in all 33 districts,” he said.
The CM took a dig at the Union ministers for criticizing the state government when they visit the state, but giving awards of excellence in New Delhi.
Rao said that some forces are trying to sow the seeds of poison in the minds of the people, which is not good for the society.
He said the cultivable land in the US is 29 per cent, China is 16 per cent, while India has 43 crore acres with favorable climatic conditions and 70,000 TMC of river water.
