Jaipur: A man arrested for molesting a 10-year-old girl allegedly hanged himself in the lockup of the police station on Sunday.
accused, Ankit Gupta (32) was arrested on Saturday, February 18 for molesting a girl and a case was registered against him under sections of the POCSO Act at the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Jawahar Circle police station. Avinash Kumar Sharma said.
He said that three cases were registered against Gupta in different police stations under the same Act.
A magisterial inquiry is being conducted in the matter post mortem Will be done under his supervision, Sharma said.
