The ceremony marks the announcement of Telangana Chief Minister KCR to fill up 80,000 vacancies

Soon after the announcement by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in the Assembly on Wednesday regarding filling up of around 80,000 vacancies, celebrations were held across the state.

Party workers, the unemployed and youth celebrated Mr Rao’s announcement by performing ‘palabhishek’ (pouring milk) and bursting firecrackers on flexi.

“It is a long pending dream come true. We are happy that around 80,000 posts will be filled. This is a good news for the unemployed and the youth. The Chief Minister has fulfilled the promise of ‘Mann Niyamkalu’. 95 to the local people in the job. Percentage reservation will be available. No chief minister in the country is able to do that,” said a worker attending the function.

MLC K. Kavita said that the struggle of 17 years to fill the vacant posts was realized by the statement of the Chief Minister and she got the satisfaction of fulfilling a promise.

“Everyone is happy with Mr Rao’s announcement. We thank them for fulfilling the promise. Raising the age limit allows more educated people to get their fair share in employment. It was also a bold decision to announce that there would be no contact employment in the state,” said a party worker.
