A senior excise official told TOI that the club’s bar had procured some one-day liquor licenses. “The club had recently obtained the license between June 6 and 12,” a police officer said.
“Our main focus is to recover Xu Fei’s original Indian passport and trace Gujarat-based businessman Ravi Natwarlal, who appears to be his Indian partner and point of contact. Noida Police is now working in collaboration with West Bengal Police, Haryana Transport Authority. and many other internal security agencies,” Katyayan said. The club, which has a Chinese theme to its interiors, has a Mandarin bar and food menu. “The ground floor of the building has a gaming parlor and a pool,” said a senior police officer.

The owner of the building is a Gharbara resident, the son of a senior politician, the official said. “A rent agreement between the owner and four people, including Xu Fei and another Chinese national, was concluded in October 2020 for five years. We are currently looking for the three business partners mentioned in the agreement,” the official said.
Two business partners are Indians.
Police said they also found companies dealing in mobile phone spare parts that were linked to Xu Fei and his business partners. A source said, “Two firms registered in Ghaziabad and Noida were found to be fake. One registered in Panipat (Haryana) is also being probed. The firms also have fake GST numbers.”
