The dog who nursed 3 abandoned tiger cubs, the internet says a “pure blessing”

We all have heard that love can transcend all boundaries. A video of a dog going viral on social media shows exactly this.

In the video, a Labrador retriever is seen taking care of three tiger cubs abandoned by its mother at a zoo. The internet is in awe of the bond between the cubs and their foster mother.

The video has been shot in China and shows tiger cubs playing around the dog. It also states that the mother of these cubs refused to feed them soon after birth.

Since being shared by A Piece of Nature on Twitter on Sunday, the video has collected more than 16,000 views. It was originally shared on Instagram on April 27.

Twitter users, many of whom are dog lovers, have poured their hearts out. One user tweeted, “Labs are a pure boon.”

One Instagram user said, “They love their new mother..let them grow.” “Tiger and dog. Different species but love remains the same,” added another.

It is not unheard of when a female tiger leaves her cubs. There are several reasons for this, as listed by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in its Standard operating procedure (SOP) Handbook for all Tiger Reserves.

As per the NTA guidelines, apart from the death of the tiger, the cubs are also released if they are weak, disabled, injured or sick.

Some female tigers also abandon their young because of their inability to feed due to injury.

Last year, the story of an abandoned Black Panther raised by a Rottweiler in Siberia went viral.

Luna, the panther, was born at a traveling zoo, but her mother rejected the cub only a week after her birth. With no resources to care for the baby panther, the zoo approached Victoria, a specialist in the rehabilitation of feral cats.

She took Black Panther home. Wenza, her Rottweiler, took good care of her sister, helping her grow.
