Last year, Singapore’s unique effort to limit its automobile population resulted in potential car owners in the island nation shelling out up to $80,000, in some cases, to be allowed to visit car showrooms. India’s car count is still small relative to its population, but its cities are also struggling to make room for them, and parking battles are an everyday reality in many areas. How fast is the number of cars increasing in India’s biggest cities? How big would a parking lot be to fit all these cars?
