The Imperial with Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center Delhi organizes a fun Easter workshop for schools and children of ‘Tara Homs’

Festivals and food go hand in hand. The festival of Easter brings back childhood memories of Easter bunnies, egg painting and egg hunt sessions. Keeping the memories alive, Imperial New Delhi prepared for the festival by organizing Easter workshops for children from various international schools and underprivileged children of ‘Tara Homes’. The kids indulged in fun activities like egg painting, live cooking while feasting on a range of handcrafted Easter high teas specially created by Executive Chef Prem K Pogakula- The Imperial New Delhi. An egg painting session was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Gauri Singh of Gallery Shree Arts, while the live cook out featured two dishes – Hungarian Isler Cookies and Hungarian Indianer Cake.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Wanchoo – Senior Executive VP & GM said, “We are excited to bring yet another event in partnership with the List Institute-Hungarian Cultural Center Delhi. Imperial New Delhi has always celebrated Easter with great enthusiasm and tradition. Now the first ever Easter Egg Painting and Live Cooking Workshop is on at The Imperials for our little guests.”

Dr. Marianne Erdo – Director Cultural Counsel said – “Easter is one of the biggest religious festivals in Hungary after Christmas. It is our endeavor to bring some Hungarian Easter fun with this unique workshop in collaboration with The Imperial New Delhi The special Easter cake, which we are preparing with the children during the workshop, is usually cut and eaten on Easter Sunday, the day of the Resurrection of Christ.”

The fun-filled afternoon saw actor Boman Irani also visit the workshop to double down on the children’s delights, which included egg-quote painting and cook-out sessions, Easter-special high tea and hand-crafted gifts by Imperial chefs.
