New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Appreciated the recently released film on Tuesday.The Kashmir Files‘ And said that there is a need to make more such films so that people can come to know the truth.
Prime Minister was addressing BJP Parliamentary Party Meeting in Parliament before the commencement of the day’s proceedings. In the meeting, PM Modi talked about the role of the film industry in presenting history.
Referring to the film The Kashmir Files, PM Modi said, “Those who always raise the flag of freedom of expression, they are restless. Instead of reviewing the facts, a campaign is being launched to defame it.”

During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that there are many subjects like Emergency or Partition of 1975 on which no authentic film was made, as well as more films like ‘Kashmir Files’ need to be made so that people can know the truth.
He said that instead of criticizing the art or facts of ‘Kashmir Files’, it is being defamed. “Those who always hoist the flag of freedom of expression are restless. Instead of reviewing the facts, a campaign is being launched to defame it…” the Prime Minister said.
Addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting before the start of the day’s proceedings in Parliament, PM Modi said that there are a lot of subjects like Emergency or Partition of 1975 on which no authentic film has been made.
“The film has shown the truth, which has been suppressed for years. Those who have a problem with what is being shown in the film should come out with their own version of the facts,” the prime minister said. The Prime Minister said, “The truth should be brought before the country in the right form. Truth prevailed in the Kashmir files.”
He said, “The Kashmir Files is a very good film. You all should watch it. People need to make more films like Gandhi and Kashmiri Files to know the truth.”
Recently, several BJP-ruled states exempted the film from entertainment tax, with some chief ministers also vehemently supporting the film. On Tuesday, the Uttar Pradesh government had also declared the film tax free.
