The Legend of Moula Jatt is finally released! The first look of the long-awaited Pakistani film was released in three years and fans including Anurag Kashyap were waiting for it to drop. The trailer has given a good look to the film.
Set in pre-independence Punjab India and Pakistan, the film revolves around fierce fighter Maula Jatt, who comes to take vengeance against one of the most feared warriors of Punjab, Noori Nat. The trailer has gruesome action sequences in love, heartbreak, thirst for revenge and Fawad’s heart.
The Pakistani film is a reboot of Yunus Malik’s 1979 classic ‘Maula Jatt’. It’s been a long time in the making of the film. The film is reportedly the most expensive Pakistani film to be made. Directed by Bilal Lashari, the film stars Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malik, Faris Shafi and Gohar Rashid.
The trailer dropped on Sunday and Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter to express his excitement. “Finally the movie I’ve loved so much and the movie you really want to see, the trailer is out!” They said. Fans are also very impressed with the trailer. “Immediate!! This is one of the best movie trailers I’ve ever seen from any film industry! From the cast to the direction, from the cinematography to the dialogues, everything is epic. Bilal Lashari salutes you, aapne kya masterpiece Di,” wrote a fan at the bottom of the trailer.
“As someone who watched Maula Jatt growing up in the 80s, watching this trailer gave me nothing but chills and laughs, the cinematography and production looked phenomenal. This is an excellent tribute to the original Maula Jatt Now awaiting the release,” added a third fan.
The Legend of Maula Jatt is scheduled to release on 13 October.
