After the instructions of SP Sikar, Fatehpur Kotwali police has started investigating the matter by registering a case late on Friday evening.
A senior police officer of Fatehpur Kotwali police station, citing the FIR on Saturday said, “Jagdish Poddar is a grocer of Fatehpur town and he had taken Rs 7 lakh from a person in 2016 and agreed to pay some interest on the loan. . Initially due to poor financial condition they failed to repay the loan on time as discussed amongst themselves. The victim claimed that the accused, identified as Trilok, later asked her to sign some stamp papers and started escaping her every month. The fear was such that in 2020 Jagdish had even sold one of his shops. He has claimed that he has paid Rs 95 lakh so far.
He claimed in the FIR that the borrowers have threatened to kill his family if he fails to clear the dues. “I met this person and have also asked him to show the documents citing money transactions which he had already paid to the moneylender.
