The stock market will remain closed on these days in March 2023

The Indian stock market will remain closed for two days in the month of March. As per information shared on BSE website, the first holiday will be on March 7, 2023, on the occasion of Holi and the next on March 30, 2023, on the occasion of Ram Navami.

Share Market There will be a total closure of 15 days in 2023 for equity, equity derivatives and SLBs and also for commodity derivatives and electronic gold receipts (EGR) segments.

NSE and both bse Also closed for trading in ‘Currency Derivatives Segment’ and ‘NDS-RST and Tri Party Repo’ for 19 days this year.

For Equity, Equity Derivatives and SLB segments, there are three holidays in the month of April, with trading halted on Mahavir Jayanti (April 4), Good Friday (April 7) and Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14). BSE and NSE will remain closed for Maharashtra Day on May 1, while trading will remain suspended for Bakrid celebrations on June 28. There is no official holiday in the month of July.

Business will also remain closed on August 15 as the country celebrates Independence Day. Stock markets will be closed on Ganesh Chaturthi on September 19, followed by another holiday on October 2 for Gandhi Jayanti. Later in October, the stock markets will be closed for Dussehra on October 24.

There are two official holidays in November, as well as Muhurta trading on the 12th for Diwali and Lakshmi Puja. Diwali Balipratipada will be celebrated on 14 November, followed by Guru Nanak Jayanti on 27 November. The last holiday of the year will be on Christmas Day, 25 December.
