The “Toothbrush” in Nike and Tiffany Collab Confuses the Internet. here’s what it is

Tiffany’s Instagram post has garnered over 379,000 likes.

Nike and Tiffany & Co. recently announced their first sneaker collaboration. The brands posted a picture on their social media pages of a blue box with a Swoosh logo painted on it. The luxury jewelry brand also shared a video that showed off the all-black suede Nike shoes featuring a Tiffany-blue swoosh and silver heel plate. “@nike x @tiffanyandco, a legendary pairing. Coming soon,” the two brands wrote in the caption of their joint Instagram post.

Two days back, she shared another post which showcased the sterling silver products that comes with the limited-edition collection. In addition to shoelaces and sterling silver shoe horns and whistles, the kit also includes a product that has the Internet confused.

It’s a silver shoe brush with black bristles that looks exactly like a toothbrush that has netizens scratching their heads. “When they said ‘just do it,’ we listened,” the jewelry brand wrote in the caption of their post.

Many Internet users confuse a shoe brush with a toothbrush because of its appearance. What added to their confusion was also the text written over the image. The picture reads, “Don’t forget the tongue.”

Tiffany’s post immediately drew a number of reactions across social media platforms. While some users wrote that having a silver “toothbrush” is an unnecessary thing, others said it was simply a waste of money.

“Wait, I’m sorry. A toothbrush? What’s the link between the two brands here? Are these supposed to be puzzles or are they already the same?” A user wrote. “How about Tiffany and Nike coming together and making a toothbrush of all things,” said another.

A third user explained, “As many dumb people think it’s a toothbrush, it’s for cleaning shoes. Hence the pun. Don’t forget the tongue. Who’s mentally brushing their teeth? Get real that’s it.” Why the hell would it be?” A toothbrush in the Tiffany Nike collab,” while a fourth expressed, “love that Tiffany is bringing back the humor she was once known for.”

Tiffany’s post has garnered over 379,000 likes.

Meanwhile, according to USA Today, the combination of the two brands marks the 40th anniversary of the iconic Nike shoe silhouette. Shoe collectors will be able to buy the new kicks starting March 7 at Tiffany stores in New York City and on the Nike SNKRS app for $400 (roughly Rs. 32,960).
